Luminova Academy was born from both professional experience and personal conviction.
After more than twenty-five years in education, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of students and families. I have witnessed firsthand the brilliance, creativity, and potential of children whose needs were too often misunderstood, underestimated, or unsupported by traditional educational models. Too many extraordinary learners — particularly gifted, twice-exceptional, and non-traditional students — were being asked to fit into systems that were never designed for the way they learn.
I knew there had to be a better way.
Luminova Academy was created to provide that alternative: a school built around the learner, not the system. A place where curiosity is celebrated, individuality is honored, and students are empowered to take ownership of their education through customized learning pathways, meaningful mentorship, and real-world experiences.
At Luminova, we believe education should ignite a lifelong love of learning while equipping students with the academic, social, and emotional skills needed to thrive in a complex and rapidly changing world. Our students are not defined by labels or limited by traditional grade structures. They are innovators, leaders, thinkers, and creators — and our responsibility is to help them discover and develop those gifts.

Dr. Lynne Hartman
Founder / Executive Director
Guiding Every Student from Potential to Purpose
Dr. Lynne Hartman is the visionary founder of Luminova Academy, bringing over 25 years of experience in education to create a school where gifted, twice-exceptional, and non-traditional learners thrive. She has dedicated her career to developing innovative educational models that honor each student’s unique strengths and ignite a lifelong love of learning. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master’s degree in Special Education, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, combining classroom expertise with visionary leadership.
Under Dr. Hartman’s leadership, Luminova Academy emphasizes customized learning pathways, experiential projects, and whole-child development, empowering students to discover their passions, embrace their individuality, and lead with confidence and purpose.
A passionate educator, mentor, and advocate, Dr. Hartman believes every child has the potential to make a meaningful impact on the world — and her mission is to help guide them from potential to purpose.

Amy -Lynn Camilli
Ambassador of Growth Enrollment
Amy Lynn Camilli brings a wealth of strategic expertise to Luminova Academy, backed by over a decade of experience in public relations, management, and community outreach. A 2012 graduate with a B.A. in Public Relations, Amy has dedicated her career to building meaningful connections and driving organizational growth through authentic communication.
From 2016 to 2020, Amy honed her leadership and operational skills through extensive management experience. In 2020, she transitioned into executive leadership roles, most recently serving as the Communications and Fundraising Lead in 2023. In this role, she successfully integrated mission-driven storytelling with development goals. Currently, she is working with the academy’s outreach and enrollment efforts, ensuring that Luminova’s unique, process-based learning model reaches the families and gifted students who will thrive in a mastery-based environment.
Claire Smith
Ambassador of Growth Enrollment
Claire Smith brings a highly organized, data-driven perspective to Luminova Academy, blending over a decade of administrative leadership with a deep commitment to community health and wellness. A 2011 graduate with a B.A., Claire went on to earn her Master of Public Health (MPH) in 2015, a degree that informs her systematic approach to operational efficiency and community-based education.
Between 2011 and 2023, Claire built a comprehensive career in organizational management, evolving through roles as an office manager, scheduler, and Practice Administrator. Her experience in high-level administration has made her an expert in streamlining complex processes and managing multi-faceted teams. In 2023, Claire pivoted her focus to Grant Writing, utilizing her MPH background and technical writing skills to secure the resources necessary for innovative programming. Currently, she leverages her diverse background to ensure Luminova’s mastery-based environment is supported by robust operational structures and sustainable funding.
